THOROLD, Ont., Canada – Leonardo Serravalle continued his development in the 2026 USF Juniors Presented by Continental Tire championship with Zanella Racing, recording a pair of sixth-place finishes at Lime Rock Park. The weekend presented its share of challenges, but the young Canadian delivered two determined drives to secure valuable championship points at one of the shortest and most demanding circuits on the calendar.
Testing at Lime Rock took place in wet conditions, while the race weekend was contested in much different weather, creating a significantly different challenge for teams and drivers alike. Serravalle qualified eighth for race one and sixth for race two before moving up to seventh on the race one starting grid following a post-qualifying penalty assessed to another competitor. Despite the changing conditions, the Canadian remained focused on making the most of every opportunity once the green flag dropped.
In race one, Serravalle started seventh on the grid and capitalized on the opportunity with a clean and composed drive to finish sixth, earning valuable championship points. Race two presented an early challenge when contact from another competitor at the start nearly sent Serravalle off the circuit, dropping him from sixth to ninth. The Canadian quickly recovered, fought his way back through the field, and crossed the finish line in sixth for the second consecutive race, once again demonstrating his racecraft, determination and strong race pace.
"It was a challenging weekend because the conditions were so different from testing," explained Serravalle. "We didn't quite get the qualifying results we were hoping for, but we were able to race forward, score solid points in both races and learn a lot as a team. We'll keep building from here.
"I'd like to thank my team, Zanella and my sponsors for believing in me and supporting my racing career," added Serravalle. "Thank you to REVEL Realty, Destiny Copper, Road to Racing and Thorold Automotive Solutions. I'm grateful to have such incredible partners behind me every step of the way."
With Lime Rock complete, Serravalle now shifts his focus to the remainder of his 2026 racing program as he continues gaining valuable experience in junior open-wheel competition. Each event provides another opportunity for the 15-year-old Canadian to continue his development as a professional driver
