Finnish driver Vilho Aatola, 17, delivered a consistently strong weekend in the USF Juniors Presented by Continental Tire in South Carolina.

The 24-year-old from Madrid, Spain, led from start to finish for VRD Racing by Pole Position, claiming his third win of the season and moving one point clear of former series leader Max Mokarem, 14, from Fairfax, Va., who kept the pressure on with a strong run to second place for Zanella Racing after lining up sixth on the grid.

USF Juniors Presented by Continental Tire made quite an impression on its first-ever visit to South Carolina with Cole Medeiros and Ivan Machado Perez each taking a victory in the first two of three races that will comprise this weekend’s Continental Tire Grand Prix of South Carolina.

USF Juniors Presented by Continental Tire will return to action this weekend following an almost two-month hiatus since the opening three races of the season at Homestead-Miami Speedway in South Florida.
