ELKHART LAKE, Wis. – Zanella Racing closed out the USF Juniors Presented by Continental Tire season at Road America this weekend with a strong three-race showing, including a pole position, multiple podium results and a team championship. Leading the way was Leonardo Serravalle, who opened the weekend by securing pole position for Race 1, earning his first career USF Juniors pole and putting Zanella Racing at the front of the field.

With Serravalle leading the field to the green flag, Victor Couto eventually led the team's results in the opening race, bringing his car home in fourth. Newcomer Gianmatteo Rousseau made an immediate impact in his first weekend with Zanella Racing, finishing sixth ahead of Canadian Olivier Mrak in seventh. Max Mokarem rounded out the top 10, followed by Serravalle in 14th, who dropped to the tail of the field after the opening lap but rebounded nicely, and Maddie Colleran in 15th. Grant Mitchell and Jared Oselka could not finish the race.

Race 2 saw Serravalle fight back toward the front after a difficult opening race, ultimately securing his first USF Juniors podium in third place and Zanella Racing's first podium of the weekend. Rousseau continued his impressive debut weekend with an eighth-place finish, while Colleran finished 11th, her best result of the season. Victor Couto crossed the line 13th and Mokarem 14th. Mitchell and Mrak were unable to finish, while Oselka did not start the race.

The final race of the season brought another podium for the team with debutant Rousseau celebrating his first career podium finish. The newcomer crossed the finish line third before being promoted to second following a post-race penalty. Mokarem finished fifth with Serravalle seventh on the results sheet after crossing the line second on track, Mrak ninth and Couto tenth. Mitchell finished 13th, Oselka 15th and Colleran 18th as Zanella closed the season with a solid performance.

“It was a great way to close out the season, and I'm extremely proud of everyone at Zanella Racing,” expressed Team Owner Jose Zanella. “Getting Leonardo his first pole was a special moment and then seeing him fight back for his first podium showed the determination and pace we had all weekend. Gianmatteo also made an incredible first impression with the team, coming in and immediately fighting at the front. We had a lot of highs and some difficult moments throughout these three races, but our entire team continued to fight until the final checkered flag.”

The results from Road America capped Zanella Racing's USF Juniors campaign as the team secured the 2026 Team Championship. The championship result adds another major accomplishment to a season that saw the team field a deep lineup of drivers throughout the 2026 campaign. With the USF Juniors season now complete, Zanella Racing will turn its attention toward the offseason and preparing for the next chapter of its growing open-wheel program.
