Dutchman Dean Hoogendoorn (VRD Racing) and Canadian Leonardo Serravalle (Zanella Racing) completed the podium this morning, while Zanella teammate Gianmatteo Rousseau, from Panama City, Panama, marked an excellent debut by taking a fine second in the finale after a penalty for Serravalle. It was enough to ensure a second straight Team Championship for the Florida-based squad.

Bex Cranston, from Greenwich, Conn., inherited the final podium position for Exclusive Autosport.

Newly crowned champion Pasiewicz had narrowly missed out on the pole yesterday, but his second fastest lap during the lone qualifying session proved fast enough to secure the Continental Tire Pole Award for this morning’s opening race of the day. It was his series leading sixth pole of the season.

Just as was the case yesterday, the action was intense from the start with drafting and overtaking all around the majestic 4.014-mile Road America circuit. The weather conditions were conducive for good racing, too, with bright sunshine and a cool morning air temperature.

Pasiewicz regularly swapped positions through the opening stages with Hoogendoorn and Serravalle, who was determined to prove that his pole-winning pace on Friday was no flash in the pan.

Yesterday’s race winner Bex Cranston (Exclusive Autosport), from Greenwich, Conn., also was firmly in contention along with Zanella Racing’s Max Mokarem, from Fairfax, Va., who for the second day in a row charged toward the front from a lowly grid position.

A couple of very brief full-course cautions interrupted the proceedings mid-race, but there was still enough time for a three-lap dash to the checkered flag. Cranston and Mokarem eliminated themselves from contention with a synchronized spin onto the grass at the exit of Turn Five, and while Hoogendoorn and Pasiewicz exchanged places a couple of times, the Polish ace asserted his superiority by posting the fastest lap with one lap remaining. Pasiewicz took the checkered flag clear of his Dutch rival, who earned another well-deserved podium finish.

Serravalle enjoyed his best result of the year in third, while newcomer Rousseau looked to have earned a fine fourth place before the addition of a five-second penalty for blocking in the late stages relegated him to eighth.

Colombian Pipe Chaparro (DEForce Racing) inherited the position also for a best-ever finish, while Aryan Narola, from Fairfax, Va., overtook JHDD powered by ECR teammate Indy Andersen, from Indianapolis, Ind., on the final lap to snatch fifth. By far Narola’s best result also earned him the Tilton Hard Charger Award after having started from 16th.

The grid order for the championship finale was the same as this morning, with the majority of the 20-car field relying upon their second-fastest lap from qualifying, rather than their best laps during Race Two. Pasiewicz therefore lined up on the inside of the front row with his seventh Continental Tire Pole Award. Hoogendoorn once again was on his outside for the rolling start.

This time there was no touching Pasiewicz, who completed the first lap with a huge lead of over 1.7 seconds, which he extended with each circuit until the yellow flags waved with two laps remaining after two cars became entangled at Turn Eight.

The caution allowed Pasiewicz to cruise home to the finish and ended a thrilling battle for second place which saw Serravalle finish ahead of Rousseau. Unfortunately, Serravalle incurred a post-race five-second penalty for blocking which negated what would have been a career-best finish.

Cranston posted another strong charge from 12th on the grid to third after Serravalle’s penalty, which earned him a third Tilton Hard Charger Award of the season.

Hoogendoorn had to be content with fourth ahead of Mokarem and Andersen.

Pasiewicz’s fine work also included claiming the GhostLap Fastest Lap of the Weekend Award, plus two more PFC Awards for Olivia Racing’s Dana Delgado as the winning car owner.

This season is now complete, but preparations for the 2027 campaign will be under way very soon, starting with the traditional USF Pro Fall Combine Test at the Indianapolis Grand Prix road course on October 17/18.

Throughout the whole year, I wasn't risking as much as I did today in this race. I'm really happy. It seems like a completely different drive when you don't have that amount of pressure. Dean Hoogendoorn (#12 Williams F1 Team Driver Academy-VRD Racing Tatuus JR-23): “That was great fun. From Lap One, obviously in Road America you have the big draft and the racing is insane here, so I had a lot of fun.”

Leonardo Serravalle (#87 Revel Realty-Zanella Racing Tatuus JR-23): “I had to be a little patient, although I wanted to be in a better spot on the last lap. But it ended up working out for me, so I'm glad I stayed patient and I stayed in the fight the whole time. I took advantage of the opportunity that was in front of me at the end. It's great being up front with the best drivers in the series. It's great learning for me as well to take into my next year of racing.”

Race 2:

Karol Pasiewicz (#25 Olivia Racing Tatuus JR-23): “It was amazing. I would just center my flow state and just kept the pace until the very end of the race. I was talking to my engineer Augusto [Soto-Schirripa] about how many seconds of a gap I have, and I tried to extend it even more. Unfortunately, I won't have that over 10-second gap on paper, but I'm going to take the win home. I'm really, really happy. The car was on rails today. I have to thank Olivia Racing for that amazing car all year and, especially today, I was flying with it.”

Gianmatteo Rousseau (#69 Zanella Racing Tatuus JR-23): “I didn't expect this but I've worked hard training and had a lot of tests, so I think I deserve it. It was a tough race, a lot of battling but we managed. A big thanks to the Zanella team for giving me the opportunity and all my sponsors. And, of course, Leo [Serravalle], who helped me a lot as well. I am super happy.”

Bex Cranston (#90 IES/Miller Motorcars/King & Spalding-Exclusive Autosport Tatuus JR-23): “I was super happy with the race. Starting 10th, I knew I had to work my way forward and I wanted to get a good finishing position given I was still trying to gun for second in the championship. I fought my way forward, got up into the lead pack and then kind of just sat there and I knew I didn't really need to make any moves. I just sat in fourth and tried to make a move and got ran off track and the other driver got a penalty. We ended up on the podium, P4 on track, P3 after everything's done. I am super happy to get some more hardware and happy to clinch second in the championship. I can't thank everybody at Exclusive Autosport enough for the opportunity. It's been a great season and I can't wait to see what happens in the future.”
