THOROLD, Ont., Canada – Leonardo Serravalle delivered a determined and competitive performance this past weekend at Carolina Motorsports Park during Round Two of the USF Juniors Presented by Continental with Zanella Racing.

Starting ninth in Race One, Serravalle quickly showed strong pace and worked his way forward through the field. While battling for position, he was forced to take evasive action to avoid a collision, sustaining front wing damage in the process. The incident required an unscheduled pit stop for repairs, but Serravalle mounted an impressive recovery drive to climb back through the order and secure a 10th-place finish.

Race Two saw Serravalle in contention for a podium, running for second place for a majority of the race. However, a last-lap incident forced him to settle for a still solid fifth-place finish, continuing to demonstrate front-running speed. In Race Three, Serravalle capped off the weekend with a seventh-place result, completing a consistent points-scoring weekend despite the earlier setbacks, earning himself a trio of top-10 performances.

“We had really strong pace all weekend, which is encouraging, but it was a bit frustrating not to convert that into a podium,” said Serravalle. “In Race One, we had to deal with some damage, but the team did a great job getting me back out, and we recovered well. Race Two was tough to miss out on a podium on the last lap, but overall, there are a lot of positives to take from this weekend. We know we are right there.”

With strong pace and valuable lessons from Carolina Motorsports Park, Serravalle looks to carry momentum forward as he continues his push toward the front of the field. Serravalle will return to the track next week for a two-day test at Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course, continuing his development with Zanella Racing ahead of the next round of the championship.

The team will then head to Canadian Tire Motorsport Park for the third race weekend of the USF Juniors season, scheduled for May 14-17.
