Brazilian fresh off from winning 2022 Brazilian Formula Delta Championship
BROWNSBURG, IN – Exclusive Autosport is excited to announce the signing of 15-year-old Erick Schotten as their second driver for the 2023 USF Juniors Presented by Cooper Tires season. The young Brazilian has been competing in open-wheel formula cars for just one year, and in that debut season he secured his first championship in the Brazilian Formula Delta program with eight wins, two poles, and 13 podiums.
During 2022, Schotten tested with EA, where he worked with well-respected engineer Lou D’Agostino and became quite comfortable with the relationship they’ve built. With the support of a championship winning team behind him he is poised to have a successful rookie season.
“Competing in USF Juniors is like a dream come true,” Schotten enthused. “I'm very excited for this championship, especially for being with Exclusive Autosport, one of the most well-respected USF Pro Championships teams. I am very confident that in working with my experienced engineer Lou D'Agostino, we will get the best out of myself and the equipment. I can’t thank my family, my father and my mother enough for their unconditional support and also my coach Rafa Matos for guiding me in these first steps in American motorsports. I’m looking forward on being competitive and fighting for wins and the championship.”

In preparation for the 2023 season, Schotten will take part in Exclusive Autosport’s extensive off-season testing program for their USF Juniors, USF2000 and USF Pro 2000 teams leading into the upcoming USF Pro Championships season with his already-named teammates of Joey Brienza II, Jacob Douglas, Avery Towns, Yuven Sundaramoorthy, and Lindsay Brewer.
